If you're still holding old (legacy) $ONI tokens on Ethereum (ERC-20) or Binance Smart Chain (BEP-20), you’re in for an important upgrade. The future is native ONI tokens on ONINO Mainnet: more features, staking, and full participation in the ecosystem. Below is your clear, step-by-step guide to migrate safely, what to expect, and why this matters.

Why Upgrade & When

• What is this migration?
• You're converting your legacy $ONI tokens (ERC-20/BEP-20) into native $ONI coins on the newly launched ONINO Mainnet
• Why upgrade?
• Only native $ONI allows you to stake, access full ONINO features, and integrate smoothly with the ONINO blockchain. The legacy versions are being phased out
• Timeline:
• Migration opened on April 1, 2025, and remains open for 2 years. The deadline is April 1, 2027
• Important note: once upgraded, the process is irreversible. Your old tokens are burned, and new ones issued

Before You Begin - Prep Checklist

Make sure you have:

1. Legacy ONI tokens in a wallet you control (MetaMask, TrustWallet, a wallet compatible with Ethereum or BSC)
2. Registered with the ONINO Wallet App (wallet.onino.io). You can use email/password or sign in via Google
3. Enough ETH or BNB in your wallet to pay gas fees on their respective chains (Ethereum gas or BNB for BSC)

Step-by-Step Migration: How to Do It

Follow these steps in order to migrate your legacy $ONI to native $ONI safely:

1️⃣ Connect your wallet & visit upgrade page

Go to wallet.onino.io → hit “Connect Wallet”, then head to the Upgrade page. Make sure the wallet is connected on Ethereum or BSC.

2️⃣ Select how many tokens to upgrade

Choose how many $ONI you want to migrate. You can use a slider or select “100%” to migrate all your legacy $ONI.

3️⃣ Review & accept migration terms

You’ll be shown the migration terms. Confirm you own the wallet, agree to them, then tick the checkbox to proceed.

4️⃣ Final confirmations + wallet actions

You’ll go through three confirmations:

• Sign a message on-chain confirming the migration agreement.

• Approve the migration smart contract to spend (access) your legacy $ONI.

• Submit the transaction that burns your legacy tokens.

This last action permanently destroys those tokens and triggers issuance of native $ONI.

5️⃣ Wait for completion & receive your new $ONI

After burning, the system mints and sends your native $ONI to your wallet. This can take up to 72 hours (often faster) depending on network traffic.

What Happens After Migration

• Your legacy tokens are irreversibly burned. You won’t have access to them after this.
• New native $ONI appears in your wallet on ONINO Mainnet.
• You can immediately begin staking your $ONI, using it in DeFi apps, or any feature in the ONINO ecosystem that requires the native token.
• If after 72 hours you don’t see your new tokens, reach out to the ONINO Team with your wallet address.

Q: Is it mandatory to migrate?

• Yes. To use staking & the full features of ONINO Mainnet, you must convert to native $ONI. Legacy tokens become obsolete over time

Q: Can I upgrade directly from exchanges?

• No. If your $ONI is held on an exchange, you need to withdraw to a self-custody wallet first (such as MetaMask, TrustWallet, etc.), then perform the migration

Q: Is there a fee or cost to migrate?

• The only cost is network transaction (gas) fees on your old chain (ETH for Ethereum, BNB for BSC). ONINO does not charge a migration fee beyond that

Q: What if someone offers to help with migration for a fee or sends you a private link?

• Be extremely cautious! The only official migration channel is through wallet.onino.io. Don’t trust anyone asking for your private keys, seed phrase, or charging extra. It’s likely a scam

Final Thoughts & Tips

• Don’t wait until the last minute. Waiting too close to April 1, 2027 could result in delays or higher congestion.
• Double-check your wallet address. Always make sure you're connected to the right wallet and network before confirming transactions.
• Save receipts/screenshots. If something goes wrong or the new $ONI doesn’t appear after the specified timeframe, having copies of transaction hashes or confirmation screens can help support.
